As a B&B in Fayence we’re very lucky to have an excellent choice of restaurants locally, catering for most budgets and palettes, we strongly recommend booking in advance as they do get booked up very quickly, particularly in peak-season. We have regular tables at several of them and will happily book on your behalf, simply ask - that's what we're about at Le Mas des Romarins - understated luxury and attention to detail.
Les deux rocs
This is one of our local favourites, a real treat. Julie and Nicolas offer a warm welcome and their chef Julien combines the best, freshest seasonal produce from local artisan producers and farmers. The food is amazing as is the service; the setting under the two huge plane trees on a balmy summer evening next to the fountain really is hard to beat locally. The menu changes regularly and offers delightful twists and surprise takes on traditional Provencal cuisine. It gets a big thumbs up from us.
We'd be happy to book a table for you !
1 Rue Font d'Amont, 83440 Seillans - 04 94 76 87 32
Le France offers a very warm welcome from Jean and Sylvie, a great location right in the centre of town, cosy in the winter with a nice terrace in the summer, it's another great choice for really good quality food, using great produce from local farmers and artisans with a blackboard menu that evolves daily and weekly to reflect the seasons.
Another favourite which we don't get to as often as would like!

Le Moulin de la Camandoule
This authentic old olive press epitomises the charm of a Provencal lifestyle at the foot of the medieval village of Fayence. Philippe Choissy, the chef here for 25 years, offers you a refined and sophisticated style of Provençal cuisine using the best local and fresh produce. Whether you choose the terrace, nestled amongst trees and flowers, or our inside dining room, huddled in a rustic and warm décor you can indulge yourselves with the pleasures if Provençal dining. Open daily except Wednesdays and Thursday lunch time.
159 Chem. de Notre Dame, 83440 Fayence - 04 94 76 00 84
Our local seafood restaurant offering good value for money and a decent choice of fresh seafood delivered daily and steaks, closed Mondays the Auberge is situated just by the roundabout before you climb up into the village.
L'Auberge Fleurie offers regional, seasonal seafood dishes to be enjoyed on the lovely terrace, in the shade surrounded by flowers.
Rdpt de la Gare, 83440 Fayence - 04 94 84 76 64
Another great local restaurant, situated right at the top of the village underneath the "Mirador" with exceptional views out over the Var countryside. Open Mondays, which is often a challenging day to find a table, "La Farigoulette" actually means "Thyme" in Provençal. So it comes as no surprise that chef Hervé Quesnel makes excellent use of seasonal, local produce to offer a refined choice of generous dishes for a sophisticatedly simple menu and a very warm welcome. We love it here, come and try it for yourselves.

La Pause Tourrettane
Another great address that describes itself as “bistronomique” – a more relaxed version of “gastronomique” - nestled right in the heart of the village of Tourrettes. Situated on a typical small town square with imposing plain trees the restaurant offers a cool sanctuary in the heat of summer. There’s no better place to sit and admire the breath-taking views out over the Fayence plain below from their cosy terrace. Everything at the Pause Tourrettane is homemade using fresh, seasonal products. The menu changes daily with a “specials” blackboard, finessed using the freshest products from the local market or surprise discoveries by Jeanne, the head cheffesse.
1 Pl. de la Mairie, 83440 Tourrettes - 04 94 84 04 35
We’re very lucky to have an excellent choice of restaurants locally, catering for most budgets and palettes, we strongly recommend booking in advance as they do get booked up very quickly, particularly in peak-season.
The Var boasts some of the best whites and Rosés in France, whilst in and around Fayence itself we are lucky to have an excellent choice of great local winegrowers and their wines. We will happily book a visit and tasting for you, it’s a great way to spend the day.
Local olive groves & oils
We are lucky to be surrounded by plenty of lush olive groves, producing a wide variety of species particularly well adapted to the Mediterranean climate and soil. We produce our very own “golden nectar” thanks to our 48 olive trees, which we make available to guests at Le Mas des Romarins.
Market day in Fayence is special and we're spoilt because it happens 3 days a week: held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday our local market is real gem. Open until 12.30pm it offers a great range of artisan foods and local produce, as well as clothes, Provencal gifts and wares...
Fayence and its surrounding area is made up of 9 medieval villages full of charm perched up on the surrounding hills that offer a typical Provençal charm as well as a rich cultural and agricultural heritage.
The soap factory
At the Mas des Romarins we take very seriously our impact on the environment and aim to use locally sourced and eco-friendly products where we can, values we share with Karine and Frédéric, founder of the brand Aqui d’Aïa and owners of the hand-made soap factory Atelier du Savon - Maître Savonitto.
