The Mas des Romarins – an unmissable stopover for anyone on a cycling holiday

Our house offers 4 quality rooms on a Bed & Breakfast basis, situated in the cycling heart of Provence, Pays de Fayence in beautiful the Var countryside. All around the Mas you will find dozens of excellent cycling routes for all levels of ability and fitness, be that on a road bike or mountain bike. The myriad of tracks and routes opens up the rich heritage and beautiful countryside nearby. In addition to being a recognised quality B&B we recently gained accreditation as a cycle tourism establishment, offering cyclists a warm welcome, practical advice, a fully equipped workshops and a partnership with a local cycle hire and repair shop.

Since 2021 we have met the standards set by the organisation France Vélo Tourisme and gained the prestigious “Accuel Vélo” or “Cyclists Welcome” badge. The accreditation guarantees our cycling guests a personalised welcome adapted to your stay to help make your cycle trip here a memorable one: Cycle racks, repair kits, cycle workshop, cleaning equipment, laundry facilities, weather info, a concierge service for local eateries/to book a taxi or even to call a luggage-forwarding company. If your repair is more serious, South Bike Repair is our local expert repair partner, offering various packages for different repairs or even electric cycle hire, with bikes delivered here to the Mas des Romarins!

The Mas itself is just 1.5km away from the famous Eurovélo 8 route or “Mediterranean by bike”, one of the longest cycle routes in Europe, linking 12 countries from Portugal and the south of Spain right the way over to Eastern Europe.

You’re therefore perfectly placed to start or continue the Eurovélo 8 and discover this part of the world on two wheels. In May 2022 the local authority undertook a significant upgrade of the cycle network to improve both safety and comfort for visiting cyclists.

For our part, we’d be delighted to recommend various itineraries according to what you’d like to see and do: heritage routes to discover the richness of our local villages and their mediaeval history; mountain and off-road bike routes through luscious and green countryside, accessible to all; or more challenging and sporting routes for the more motivated amongst you… but all have one thing in common – the stunning Provençal countryside and relaxed way of life. You can find all of these routes as well as much more cycling information in our activities section on our website they have all been validated by our local Tourist Office.
