Market day in Fayence is special and we're spoilt because it happens 3 days a week: held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday our local market is real gem.
Open until 12.30pm it offers a great range of artisan foods and local produce, as well as clothes, Provencal gifts and wares from olive wood pestle and mortars to embroidered linens and tablecloths, with jewellery and great fruit and veg.
Artisan producers will happily let you taste their wares before buying and you're pretty much guaranteed a warm welcome and large smile.
We’re very lucky to have an excellent choice of restaurants locally, catering for most budgets and palettes, we strongly recommend booking in advance as they do get booked up very quickly, particularly in peak-season.
The Var boasts some of the best whites and Rosés in France, whilst in and around Fayence itself we are lucky to have an excellent choice of great local winegrowers and their wines. We will happily book a visit and tasting for you, it’s a great way to spend the day.
Local olive groves & oils
We are lucky to be surrounded by plenty of lush olive groves, producing a wide variety of species particularly well adapted to the Mediterranean climate and soil. We produce our very own “golden nectar” thanks to our 48 olive trees, which we make available to guests at Le Mas des Romarins.

Fayence and its surrounding area is made up of 9 medieval villages full of charm perched up on the surrounding hills that offer a typical Provençal charm as well as a rich cultural and agricultural heritage.
The soap factory
At the Mas des Romarins we take very seriously our impact on the environment and aim to use locally sourced and eco-friendly products where we can, values we share with Karine and Frédéric, founder of the brand Aqui d’Aïa and owners of the hand-made soap factory Atelier du Savon - Maître Savonitto.
